Firstly - congratulations to Koyama as today is the anniversary of him joining Johnny's in 2001 and the start of his 12th year with the company and now not only in his other roles but also as Leader of new NEWS. Thank you to him as well for all that he's given us over that time. Here's to many more years and even greater success.

And speaking of success, the news every site has had a bit of an overhaul and Koyama now features fairly prominently, definitely an acknowledgement of his hard work and achievements. He appears as part of the main header image on the front page - www.ntv.co.jp/every

And also as one of the main listed newscasters, including a photo and short biography. The biography mentions he is the Leader of NEWS, has a university degree, has achieved Level 2 in sign language and covers human interest stories on location.

Following the breaking of the earlier LQ video link of Koyama's reporting on the 10th Anniversary of September 11 in New York, we've been able to replace the footage with good quality video. This is a huge improvement on the patchy KH recording.

The video has been added to the original post => here.

Koyama was back to his regular Wednesday for September 21. However, September 21 was the day Typhoon Roke caused havoc across central Japan.

As a result the whole of the news every broadcast, which started early, was devoted to updates from various locations as the country was thrown into chaos. Koyama appeared at his usual start time, but just joined the other newscasters at the main desk. He did feature in one segment where he ventured out into the Tokyo streets, but his involvement in the broadcast was minimal.

Unfortunately KeyHole was impossible that day, possibly due to the typhoon conditions, so we only have a few screen shots from this appearance.
