A recap of『news every』from last week - January 26.

This week we have screencaps and a summary of Koyama's Kininaru and the other segments he is involved in presenting, with thanks to [livejournal.com profile] daelite.

Opening
They welcome Koyama to the show and comment on his orange tie, he often wears red ones but today he went for something a little different!

Beijing Traffic
They reported on the horrible all day traffic in Beijing and how the solution to that has been to limit how many people can get new license plates every month. They also show how crowded the public buses are and how in the traffic even ambulances can't get through the traffic.
Koyama helped introduce the segment, standing in front of a screen with the traffic shown in the background.

Japan's soccer win against Korea
Koyama comments that it was a wonderful match and you could really tell how hard they all worked as you saw some of the Korean players crying when they lost.

Valentine's Chocolate
Valentine's Day is almost upon us! They ask Koyama how guys feel during this time of the year and Koyama comments that no matter how old you get, you still feel a little nervous and excited near Valentine's Day.

They then ran a report on Valentine's Day chocolates. Lately an increasing amount of woman have been buying chocolate not only for boys, but for themselves! And this year Valentine's Day falls on a Monday so many guys are hoping their female coworkers will give them some chocolate.

At the end they then show the results of a poll: What chocolate is most important on Valentine's Day?
And the results were...
1. Honmei - Chocolate to your loved one 63%
2. Chocolate for yourself 23%
3. Giri - Chocolate for coworkers/bosses 10%
They were surprised chocolate for yourself ranked above giri chocolate in importance. Koyama adds that chocolate isn't just to guys, since girls send chocolate to friends (tomo chocolate) or family (fami chocolate) as well.

Ki ni naru
Koyama visits a cafeteria by a harbor in Ibaraki. The cafeteria is quite popular and run by the wives of fishermen. It was opened in April of last year and 45 fisherman wives work there, using super fresh fish. They named the shop "Kaachan no Mise", reflecting on the wonderful cooks. They are all very strong women as they help unload the boats everyday. Koyama helps them bring some fish back to the shop and one old lady laughs "A Johnny is here with the fish!!!"

The reason the ladies started the shop is because they want others to know the taste of a fisher family and bring life back to the small fishing town.

While at the shop, Koyama was lucky enough to try several of their special menu items and found them all delicious.
